To jest mój Pułtusk

On Tuesday we organized a meeting in Senior Wigor to present how different  people can view one place - our beloved Pułtusk! 

We exhibited the works of children from kindergarten where Liza and Gizem work. One group took photos during a walk, other made paintings.

There were also collages of students from Liceum and Prus and some works done by us volunteers. The seniors contributed by telling their stories from childhood or life in Pułtusk in general.

In  the end we sang a few songs and danced together 🎶

It was a very pleasant time, dziękujemy bardzo!!!

Picnic with Best school

On Saturday we participated in a picnic organized by Szkoła językowa BEST and the children's university for the end of the school year.

 Every country had its stand with national games and children were going from one to another completing quests.

Thanks to our friends Dawid, Wiktoria and Bartek for their help.

We hope the cooperation with BEST language school will continue after summer vacation. 

First language cafe in school Nr. 4

On Thursday we went to Sergio's school to make the first language cafe there.

Cooking in Prus

Prus school invited us to cook together with the students.

The first meeting happened in May and we prepared our national dishes. The students were divided into four groups and followed the instructions of one of us volunteers.

Gizem and her team cooked Turkish yoghurt soup and Karniyarik, which is an eggplant stuffed with minced beef.

Me - Christina and my team made Czech garlic soup and Yemista - vegetables stuffed with rice (favourite dish from my Greek grandma 💓)

And finally Sergio's girls helped him with empanadas and guacamole! Unfortunately, I cannot find a picture... But it was so tasty!!! 💚

Then this Wednesday we cooked Polish lunch.

On the menu, there was: rosół, schabowy and potatos, mizeria, young kapusta and sernik.

And of course KOPEREK in every dish (except the desert..)

International day in kindergarten

This week we went to the girls' kindergartens and prepared some games popular in our countries of origin to play with the kids.

First we went to Liza's kindergarten on Tuesday. We played a German game called Fischer Fischer, then Colombian El puente esta quebrado and we divided into small groups and played several other games.

On Wednesday we went to Gizem's kindergarten. This time we had two groups and we also added a Turkish game with a scarf.

Family picnic with school Nr. 1

On Wednesday the 30th we've been invited to take part in a family picnic organized by School Nr. 1 somewhere in Polana (nice wooden house and a fireplace in the middle of the forest.

We prepared some games and activities for the children.

 The heat was horrible but it didn't seem to affect the kids who were full of energy

Later on, we watched a little performance by the teachers and parents. And then we ate kiełbasas.

It was a nice afternoon in the forest :)

Intercultural training

On Monday we had an Intercultural training, us EVS volunteers in Pułtusk, some local Polish volunteers and also our friends who do EVS in Warsaw.
