Meeting with students in Pultusk

Thursday, 21st May, with Ola from the office to Warsaw and Ania a volunteer of SPW, we went to a high school of Pultusk to speak about the tasks of our association and workcamps.

We had pleasure to meet six different classes to present them our association and what a workcamp is.

Workcamp in Janowice Wielkie

One of the important activities of FIYE in Pultusk is the promotion of workcamps.

Leading the workcamps it’s one of my works during the EVS.

My first workcamp took place in South of Poland in Janowice Wielkie during two weeks from 21th May to 3^rd June.

With another leader, Zuzana who come from Slovakia for an EVS in the SPW in Warsaw, we led and worked with three girls - volunteers from Canada, France and South Korea.

What is really important it's to work in "zen" atmosphere.

Thanks to our "personnal guide" who is also our "technical leader", Irek, we discovered all the beautiful landscape.

Two things are very important during a workcamp: first you fell useful by your work and secondly you make new friends!

Schuman Parade

Like every year the Schuman Foundation participated at a big parade to promote Europe. This year, the parade took place the Saturday 12^th May.

Unfortunately, it rained this day in WarsawL! And the Map Game-what we prepared about Europe-was to take place outside in tent… it was canceled!

Many people attended to this Parade despite the rain.

In the float of the Schuman Foundation, the party was really present with a DJ! It was very crazy and funny! Any people united by the sound music to celebrate Europe marched through the streets of the Old Town of Warsaw.

The SPW FIYE volunteers participated with happiness in this crazy atmosphere!

In spite of the bad weather and cancellation of the Map Game, I really enjoyed participating to this Parade. It allowed me to meet different volunteers and different people of a lot countries and I think this is one aim of such events.

 Who are we? We are an association which promotes volunteering.

Non-profit organization established in Pultusk in 2009.

Our team has been working in the field of international voluntary service for many years (first as Foundation for International Youth Exchange, then as Stowarzyszenie Promocji Wolontariatu from Warsaw.)

We belong to the international structures which allow us to send and host volunteers at various projects – including workcamps.

We are also an accredited sending and hosting organization in the European Voluntary Service (EVS) projects. And we coordinate EVS projects in Poland.

Our aim? Promote volunteering, do workcamps… and participate in the animation of life in Pultusk.

Who I am? My name is Zoé, I come from France and I’m the first EVS volunteer in Pultusk ! Now I work in Pultusk with Pani Ania Pios and Sylwia Jedra!
